Consumer MathematicsThe Applied Math course contains mathematics needed to be productive members of today's work force. It will strengthen the basic mathematics concepts with emphasis on skills needed to live in a technical world. Algebra IAvailable to Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors; Credit: 1; Prerequisites: None This is a study of the structure and properties of the real number system, which helps the student acquire facility in applying algebraic concepts and skills. This course will also strengthen the student concepts of the structure of arithmetic. GeometryAvailable to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors; Credit: 1; Prerequisites: Algebra I This is a study of figures made up of points, lines, and planes which bring out the role of inductive and deductive reasoning in both mathematical and non-mathematical situations. It is also a study of how algebra and geometry complement each other. Algebra IIAvailable to Juniors, and Seniors; Credit: 1; Prerequisites: Algebra I, and Geometry is preferred. This course reviews and enhances concepts from Algebra I as well as some geometric concepts. It also covers some topics from more advanced mathematics, such as trigonometry, complex numbers, conic sections, exponential and logarithmic functions, and sequence and series. Advanced MathAvailable to Juniors and Seniors; Credit: 1/2 or 1 Prerequisites: Algebra II This course will be divided into two semester classes with 1/2 credit given for each semester. The first semester will consist of Algebraic concepts, Probability, and some Trigonometric concepts. The second semester will include Algebraic concepts along with Statistics. TrigonometryAvailable to Juniors and Seniors; Credit; 1/2 Prerequisites: Algebra II This course will be extremely beneficial for students who are planning to attend college. It will consist of Trigonometric, Exponential, And Logarithmic concepts as well as Analytic geometry in "real life" applications. Pre CalculusAvailable to Juniors and Seniors; Credit: 1/2 Prerequisites: Algebra II This class is also a college prep course for students who will need to take
Calculus at the next level. The class will deal with Algebra, Trigonometry,
Calculus, as well as Analytic Geometry in
