French 1

Available to Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors: Credit: 1; Prerequisites: None

First year French will introduce you to the basics of French comprehension (written and oral), speaking, grammar, writing, and lifestyles of the francophone world. Students will be able to understand, write, and converse in simple French by the end of the year.

French 2

Available to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors: Credit: 1; Prerequisites: French 1

French 2 is an overall continuation of French 1. Increasing skills in reading comprehensively, pronunciation, grammar points, and self-expression in speaking and writing is the main objective. Projects concerning French culture will be assigned so students may better understand the francophone world and how it compares and contrasts with our own culture.
